Outside of botox for example, there are actually no prescription anti aging products. You can get dermatologist anti aging skincare. But realistically speaking, the fact is that they are not prescriptions. They are just products that some company got a dermatologist or two to sell in their offices that claim to have anti aging benefits. There are those products that actually end up increasing the healing rate after surgeries and such, but I wouldn’t exactly call those anti aging.
Either way, with any given dermatologist anti aging skincare product, they only claim to prevent future aging in general. They do not actually claim to reverse the signs of aging, which is ironic to say the least. This being said, they talk all about how it reverses sun damage, protects the skin, but not about any of them actually reversing aging. Still, these products sell only through dermatologists.
So what do they have in them? What makes them special? Nothing really. They have a bunch of antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the skin from further damage yes, but they don’t reverse wrinkles. You can quite literally find antioxidants in any over the counter product, in any internet product, and they have their effect, but they use the same small amounts or even smaller amounts in these supposed dermatologist anti aging skincare products.
So in short, you would be better off finding a good antioxidant cream in the supermarket. You would be getting exactly the same thing and paying a lower price for it. So that’s better for value, and why not get the same thing for a cheaper price, especially without the dermatologist.
